SPF: Sparkley, Shiney...I messed up!
I was going to post this pic as colorful, but when I was getting a closer look @ it I thought it was shiney.
Subject: shiney OK, so I was wrong.....

I call this my rock'n red fireplace OR Contemporary Southwestern. Anyway, all I know is that it was a butt-ugly cream colored brick/rock wanna-be fireplace. I wanted my Buddy Al (www.albertart.com) or PtheClown (www.ptheclown.com) to stucco over it ever since I moved in 4 years ago! I finally got my wish this Winter, and painted it a Martha Stewart brick reddish color that I had for like 5 years.
Anyways, I love my new fireplace!

Whether sparkly or shiny, it's an awesome picture!
your brick red looks kinda like a shiny magenta in this pic. Either way, I like it. I've got the ugly beige fireplace, but I'm too chicken to paint it.
I played.
Slice of Life-
Yes, sounds like my old ugly fireplace. This guy put hot stucco mud on it, then I painted over it.
It's definitely colorful. It's cool.
