P...Hmm...as with anything 'faith' can be a crutch. People can become too dependent on 'God' (however one comes to define it) to solve problems. If one's faith says that you are created as an expression of the creator, to live and experience, to learn and discover, to cope and overcome, then as the ancient Chinese you might see challenge as an opportunity.
